From 4 to 8 September, 21 transactions involving securities of nine companies were executed on the KASE, totaling 21.8 million soms, along with one transaction in government treasury bonds worth 0.2 million soms. Compared to the previous period, total trading volume increased by 68%, largely due to the primary market placement of bonds issued by Trading House Min Turkun. As a result, bonds accounted for 90% of the week’s total turnover. In the secondary market, trading in shares decreased by 63%, while bond trading increased by 86%.
A single transaction in 5-year government treasury bonds was recorded last week in the primary market, amounting to 0.2 million soms for 2,831 units. The placement price was 86.27 soms, representing a decline of 0.89 soms. A secondary-market transaction in the same bonds occurred at the same price of 86.27 soms, reflecting a price drop of 12.69 soms.
In addition to 5-year treasury bonds, the primary market saw placements of corporate bonds issued by Trading House Min Turkun and the microfinance company Alma Credit, totaling 19.8 million soms. Min Turkun bonds showed a significant increase in sales volume—16% of the issue was sold last week for 19.7 million soms, leaving about 30% of the issue still unplaced. The first bond issue of Alma Credit saw two transactions totaling 0.1 million soms.
In the secondary market, 13 transactions were carried out totaling 1.9 million soms. Major activity came from ordinary shares of OJSC Financial Company of Credit Unions, which accounted for 1.6 million soms, or 73% of secondary turnover. The share price stood at 1.21 soms, exceeding the nominal value by 0.21 soms. Three additional transactions were recorded: one with shares of OJSC Bishkekteploset and two with shares of JSC Kyrgyzneftegaz. Bishkekteploset shares rose by 0.02 soms to 0.09 soms, while Kyrgyzneftegaz shares increased by 0.03 soms to 42 soms.
Overall, 90% of the weekly trading volume consisted of transactions in listed securities, including two deals involving Bishkekteploset shares and nine trades in the bonds of Min Turkun and Alma Credit. The total turnover in listed securities amounted to 19.9 million soms for the week.
