In February 2023, the volume of trades in the stock market of the Kyrgyz Republic increased significantly as compared to January 2023. In quantitative terms, the total volume of all trades amounted to 992.79 million KGS. The principal reason for a sharp increase in the volume was the issuance of securities of such companies as OJSC State Mortgage Company, OJSC MCS Entrepreneurship Development Foundation, OJSC State Insurance Organisation.
Primary market

The primary market traditionally led in comparison with the secondary market. There were 118 deals concluded for a total amount of 975.28 million KGS.

The largest participant in the primary market was the above-mentioned JSC State Mortgage Company, which placed the 16th issue of shares in the amount of 500 million KGS at a nominal value of 100,000 KGS per share. JSC Entrepreneurship Development Fund made a private issue of shares in the amount of 400 million KGS at a nominal value of 100 KGS per share. JSC State Insurance Organisation issued shares in the total amount of 26, 871 million KGS at a nominal value of 100 KGS per share.

In addition to shares, corporate bonds were sold on the primary market, the total volume of which reached 48.41 million KGS. The bonds were sold by the following companies: CJSC Bank of Asia – 0.90 mln. KGS, CJSC Microfinance Company OXUS – 7.04 mln. KGS, OJSC IFC ABN – 30.49 mln. KGS, OJSC Stroy dom KG – 5.80 mln. KGS, IFC Elet-Capital – 3.93 mln. KGS, OJSC Group K51 – 0.25 mln. KGS.

Secondary market

The secondary market, as in most previous months, took a relatively small share compared to the primary market and amounted to 1.7% of the total trading volume. Notable companies in this section were JSC Financial Company of Credit Unions – 4.98 million KGS, JSC Elesinvest – 0.30 million KGS and JSC Koshoi – 0.20 million KGS with its ordinary shares.

The most dynamic in terms of price variations remain the shares of JSC Manas International Airport. The price of shares fluctuated in the range of 660 – 950 KGS.

Debt securities also made some contribution to the development of the secondary market. Here, 12 deals were made for a total of KGS 10.09 mln. KGS.
The securities of OJSC IFC ABN (KGS 0.95 mln.) and LLC Pervaya metallobaza (KGS 9.13 mln.) were traded.
